Mein Regency Mieder ist fertig! Kurz nach meinem letzten post dachte ich, dass ich damit niemals bis Ende Juli fertig werde!!  :-) My Regency Stays are finished! Very shortly after my last post, I thought that I would never finish them until the end of July! :-) Das Mieder trägt sich sehr gut - ich werde sicher weitere nach diese Schnitt anfertigen. The stays are very comfortable to wear - I will surely sew another one from this pattern in the future . Es ist komplett von Hand genäht; für alle Nähte und Ziernähte habe ich Baumwollzwirn verwendet. Ich habe - trotz kleiner Änderungen - versucht möglichst nah an das Original heran zu kommen. Nochmal Danke an Betsy Bashore von www.19thus.com für ihre überaus nützlichen Infos! It´s entirely handsewn; I have used cotton yarn for all seams and decorative seams. Langsam aber doch macht mein Regency Mieder Fortschritte. Wenn ich endlich mal die Zeit finde um zu nähen, möchte ich gar nicht mehr aufhören. :-) Slowly but steady my Regency Stays are making progress. When I finally find the time to sew, I can hardly stop. :-) Es liegt noch viel Arbeit vor mir, aber ich bin zuversichtlich, dass ich bis Juli fertig werde. Ich bin ja eigentlich sehr ungeduldig und (hand)nähen lehrt mich immer wieder geduldiger zu sein. ;-) There is still a lot of work, but I´m confident that I will be ready till July. I´m actually very impatient and (hand)sewing always teaches me to be more patient. ;-)

Bei der Suche nach Inspirationen für mein neues Regency Mieder bin ich im Internet auf eines gestossen, das auf ca 1811 datiert wird. Bei weiterer Recherche habe ich dann tatsächlich den Schnitt und weitere Bilder des besagten Mieders gefunden! :-) When looking for inspiration for my new regency stays I came across one that is dated to ca 1811.
